Where do the foam strips fit?

The foam strips are designed to be attached to the outside lip of the back-draught shutter not on the fan body or grilles. This ensures that when the shutter closes (e.g., when the fan is off), it seals properly against external air ingress.

Simply Silent DX100 square grille fascia 4" 100mm extract fan, featuring Ghost Air Movement Technology for quiet running. For use with an external switch or sensor. Is typically connected to the room lighting circuit. Supplied with wall fitting kit comprising of outer grille, telescopic wall tube, gasket and foam strips.
