The filter and isolating valve are installed in the oil feed pipe, typically near the tank, leading to the boiler. This setup allows for the quick shut-off of the oil supply, such as during boiler servicing.
The valve is equipped with a nylon filter, which is crucial because even the smallest particles of dirt or rust can cause permanent damage to the boiler’s oil pump or clog the fine oil atomising jet.
